How to use an inhaler

Without a spacer:

1. Remove the inhaler cap.
2. Shake the inhaler well.
3. Insert the inhaler mouthpiece between teeth and seal lips around it.
4. Press once firmly on the inhaler to fire one (1) puff into space.
5. Hold breath for 4 seconds or as long as comfortable.
6. Repeat four (4) breaths in and out of the spacer. Remember to remove the inhaler to breathe out.

With a spacer:

1. Remove the inhaler cap.
2. Shake the inhaler well.
3. Assemble the spacer by inserting the inhaler upright into the spacer.
4. Place the mouthpiece between teeth and seal lips around it. Breathe out gently into the spacer.
5. Press down once firmly on the inhaler to fire 1 puff into spacer. Breathe in and out normally for 4 breaths.
6. Remove spacer from mouth and breathe in and out gently. If more than one dose is needed, remove inhaler from spacer and repeat all steps from Step 2.
