Topic 4
(S) Send for Help

Calling Triple Zero (000) for an ambulance or asking a bystander to make the call as soon as possible will mean assistance can arrive at the scene sooner.
When calling Triple Zero (000), you should communicate:
- That you require an ambulance
- The exact location of the accident (street name, suburb, landmarks, etc.). By using the First Responder app, your GPS coordinates will be sent for you
- The approximate number of people involved in the accident
- The type of injuries they have
- If anybody is trapped
- If any other emergency services are required (e.g. if there is a fire or gas leak, ask for fire services)
Locate and get an automated external defibrillator (AED) if available.
